This is the hardest thing to write, Our darling Amanda passed away Nov. 5/04. This broke my heart into a million pieces and I know I will miss her for the rest of my life.
Here is a song written and sung by Cindy Bullens that reminds me each day of her!
Rest Well My Love we will meet again at the gates of the rainbow bridge.
"Somewhere Between Heaven & Earth"
I curse the night, I watched you slip away
Wouldn't have done no good , To Beg You to Stay.
You were here beside me, But now you are gone
I'm just trying hard, To Carry On.
But there's no rhythm in the rain, There's no magic in the moon.
There's no power in this pain, Till somewhere between heaven & earth, I can find you again!
Hearts are broken, And dreams are lost.
But I made a promise to love, At any cost.
Little did I know, The price was so high.
Losing forever, In the blink of an eye.
There's no rhythm in the rain, There's no wishes in the stars.
There's no power in this pain, Till somewhere between heaven and earth.
I can hold you again.
If I could one more time, Feel your hand in mine.
Hear your voice call my name, & whisper sweet good night.
Then there'd be rhythm in the rain, There'd be magic in the moon.
No such thing as love in vain,
Somewhere between heaven & earth.
You would be with me again, And I could see you again
And I could hold you again , Sweet baby Girl
Somewhere between heaven and earth,
I promise I Will See You Again.
Forever in my heart dear Sweet Amanda.
I love you forever and always!

Amanda, What can I tell you about this Special Girl!
She is MY HEART! The Love of My Life! She was the Greatest Showdog I have ever owned. Never letting me down for an instant. When she was campaigned she loved being in the show ring. Amanda, is very happy in her retirement content to watch all the youngsters in our home, the Lady of the house teaching everyone their manners and forever constant in her love for them and for us. This beautiful girl stole my heart from the moment she was born. I remember her as a baby her style and flair! Amanda, will always reign as Queen of Our home.

This picture was taken of Amanda at the tender age of 6 1/2 months. This was a Very Exciting Day for Amanda and for myself. She became the First Canadian Bred Briard to Achieve An All Breed Best Puppy In Show. Oh Me was I excited. Barbara Heller our judge must of thought I was some strange person as all I could reply to her was we were going to Credit Valley. Well "What is that?" This automatically Qualified her for the Puppy of the Year in Canada. Never had a Briard been shown at this Prestigious Event! We did have this opportunity and I was so Proud of My Home Bred Girl! Amanda, is a Real Trooper. She completed the Year as # 1 Briard Puppy 1993 and # 6 Briard overall 1993. What a Wonderful accomplishment for a Baby!

Amanda, Enroute to her All Breed Best In Show! This is a day I shall never forget one of the highlights of My Handling and as A Breeder/Owner. Pictured winning the Group at Muskoka & District Kennel Club August 1996. This is the Year I retired her. Why you might ask? She accomplished more for me that any dog possibly could. She earned her retirement to be Queen of The Castle. She is the best in My Eyes and Always has My Love and Heart now and always.

Amanda pictured winning her All Breed Best In Show!! Wow, what excitement this was for us. I got down on my knee's and cried. Kissed that Big Black Nose! I am sure the spectators and exhibitor's must have thought I had lost my mind. I just could not believe it! Amanda made Briard History again. She became the First Canadian Bred Briard & the First Tawny Female to Achieve this honour. What more could I possibly ask for? Nothing, she was retired a month later winning a Group 1 the day she was retired from the ring. She now was to make history in the Whelping box with Wonderful happy babies who have made their mark in the Briard World. Amanda was the # 1 Briard in 1994, & 1996. The # 2 Briard 1995 & The # 1 Canadian Bred 1995!!

This day was the Most Perfect Day May 6, 2000! This was the day I was marrying the Man of My dreams. And having my favourite girl a Special Part of this day. She was My Ring Bearer. Amanda walked down the aisle with My Granddaughter. Doug made sure that Amanda would be welcomed at the church. She carried the rings down the aisle with a silk pouch attached to her collar of flowers that were around her neck. She helped to make this day Special. This was the joining of two families where it has only blossomed to include everyone in this wonderful hobby of having dogs in our home. Where there is love this is where the home is! We have a lot of love filled within the walls of our home! We are truly blessed! This picture is Nicole Gibb, Amanda & Myself.
